Finca Colibri is situated in the Pululahua Crater, which itself is located near Mitad del Mundo, the Equatorial Line Monument, and about 1 hour drive from Quito. At an altitude of 7500 feet, this huge crater, the largest in the world with a diameter of approximately 8 miles and walls up to 1000 feet, boasts of a mild climate, spectacular scenery and diverse vegetation which hosts many animals, especially birds, butterflies and small mammals. This very special environment with its unique flora and fauna is now a National Park and hence protected against degradation or destruction.

At the bottom of the crater, small farms are located where native people still work their land by hand or oxen and mostly grow corn, together with beans, and keep a few domestic animals. No farm machinery or other outside noise disturbs the serene atmosphere of this special place.

Our Vacation Farm is part of it and consists of 12 acres of pasture, where we keep horses, a large garden, which we use for growing organic vegetables and fruits, and a romantic rustic farm house which has all the amenities for a pleasant stay. We invite you to experience this magical region and explore its beauty on your own or enjoy one of our programs.

We offer you a wide range of outdoor activities for people who love nature, fun & adventure:
